Daily Horoscopes Top posting users this month | Reading Month Wed Aug 22, 2012 1:11 pm by LyxisMorgan Hello Book Fans Starting on the 1st September 2012 this site will be having a reading month. Join us to talk about your favourite books and Authors, to share what your currently reading and to really celebrate the best in fiction. To start off the month I have found the '1000 Must Reads' as decided by 'The Guardian' why not have a look through those now and see which ones you have read or even which ones you really want to read. ( http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2009/jan/23/bestbooks-fiction ) Other events coming up on this site: Writers Month: February 1st 2013 (chase away that writer's block with a month dedicated to writing, with challenges to really test your skills and ideas to really get you creating new ideas) Pagan Pride: May 1st 2013 (the best month to celebrate what it is to be Pagan - with Beltane to start us off) Poetry Month: July 1st 2013 - Join us to celebrate the best in poetry. Comments: 0 Ch-Ch-Changes! Thu Aug 09, 2012 10:24 pm by LyxisMorgan After many tears of frustration - and a few threats aimed at the internet (even one aimed at my laptop)- I finally managed to achieve what I started trying to do about a month ago. Yay me! You will now notice (if you have visited this site before) that I have a few links down the left side of the screen (trust me they weren't there a few days ago.) The first link "view my stats" is a visitor log - if you want you can click on the link and see who is being drawn to this site (this is really for my benefit The second (if you are viewing this message from the portal - which, to be fair, most people do) is a link to a website that is very useful, if you have a website of your own (it gets people coming to your site.) The final three "Witches' Cottage", "Writer's Zone" and "Fun Zone" are internal links within this site. (the main site attractions perhaps What else is new? I have added a new area in the poetry section of the site. "Published Poems" This area is for people to include poems that they have had published elsewhere. It's your place to say look what I've done! (If you have a video of yourself reading the poem why not embed it as well.) Two new forums have been added to the writer's Zone "Mythic Oracle" and "Mythic High" Mythic Oracle is an internet newspaper that Lyra invented and is being added to on a fortnightly basis. Mythic High is eventually going to be a role playing game. We are working on creating it at the moment so hopefully it will be up and running within the next few months. (I did say HTML was something I struggled with right?) Thanks to RosieBell we have now got a lot more data for the "Correspondences" Forum in the witches' Cottage. Well that's it for now... Enjoy your visit and Come again soon. Comments: 0 Save the Wolves!! Sat Jan 07, 2012 12:15 am by LyxisMorgan You might have noticed on the portal page, on the left, is a Widget "Save the Wolves" with a button 'join cause.' This is something that I am passionate about and I ask that you click the 'join cause' button to help raise the numbers on this petition. This cause is not just about the wolves but about all the creatures on this Earth. Killing for survival is fine but to kill another living being for fun is just pure evil. As the dominant species on this planet we are obligated to maintain nature's equilibrium. About the Cause "Wolves and humans have so much in common; needs, family, instincts, feelings and many more. The issue I have been able to notice is that wolves are killed for being their selves due to the fact that the power and strangth of this mighty animal strikes fear into the eyes of humans. Wolves hunt for food, to power their bodies. Humans hunt for fur, sport, and nothing more then fun. This needs to come to an end, for good. With your help I hope this cause is noticed and delt with before it becomes too late. Not just wolves but for all animals" Emily Gouge, Cause Founder Comments: 0 Into the New Year... Sat Dec 31, 2011 4:13 pm by Feronia Hello everyone. As you can see (if you are a returning user) the site has gone under a few changes in the last month... we are closing down our other site and moving all the data from it to this one which means that this one is now more than just another writing site. The reason for closing down the other site was because it was receiving too much spam and we were getting fed up with deleting it every day, also it is allot easier to manage just one site rather than two. There is still more to be done to the site... including a new colour scheme. Finally we would Like to wish you all a very happy New Year and that you do not all suffer to badly with hangovers the next day So Happy New Year everyone From Feronia LyxisMorgan KidaBunny and Shadow Comments: 0 Site makeover to take place soon Fri Dec 16, 2011 12:21 am by LyxisMorgan Over the course of the next few weeks the site is going to undertake a few new designs and colour schemes...
